Juno is a non-profit children's residential care provider. We're looking for a Deputy Manager to offer brilliant care and support colleagues in Juno Oxton, our children's home, recently rated Good by Ofsted.

The Role
Place of work: Wirral, Merseyside
Remuneration: £35,000 per annum
Job terms: Full-time, permanent
As the Deputy Manager at Juno Oxton, you will be responsible for the effective day-to-day running of the home in the absence of the Registered Manager, working flexibly to meet changing demands.
We will provide you with high-quality training and development opportunities, offering all the necessary support.
As the Deputy Manager you will:
Support the Registered Manager in ensuring compliance with Juno policies and procedures, the SOP and meeting all Ofsted regulations
Quickly establish trusting relationships with children and provide practical day-to-day care for them in a loving and supportive way, which enables their growth and development
Take the lead in developing care plans and then work with each child to follow their care plan to reflect their changing needs and be proactive in working to achieve the aims of their care plan
Play a role in Juno’s on-call rota and support the team with occasional shift work (for example, covering a shift for sick leave or annual leave). This is an off-shift role, with scheduled Monday-Friday hours, with occasional weekend work.

Who are we looking for?
We need individuals who can build supportive relationships with teenagers and will be good advocates and role models for them.
Requirements for the role include:
Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential Care (or equivalent) with two years experience of working with children in a residential care setting
Experience in supervising staff and effective co-working with other professionals
Driving licence
Willingness to obtain Enhanced DBS clearance
