The Role

Place of work: Wallasey, Wirral

Remuneration: £46,000 to £55,000

Start date: Post to commence as soon as possible.

This is a brilliant opportunity to join the Juno team as we recruit a Registered Manager for

our four-bed home, which currently has two children living there and has been rated 'Good' by Ofsted (twice!).

We're looking for a loving and experienced individual who can support us to provide outstanding care for children with neurodivergent needs, such as ASD and ADHD, and children with EBD. You'll build on already strong foundations, leading a talented team of skilled Social Care Practitioners, nurturing an excellent culture, and making sure that children and young people feel safe, loved and supported.

The day-to-day

As a Registered Manager, you will…

  • Make sure that every child and young person in our care has the best possible experience.

  • Play a key role in ensuring children experience love, joy and safety, and are encouraged to dream big and lead their best lives.

  • Lead and grow the home care team, working with Juno colleagues to create a positive culture and ethos, nurturing staff and responding effectively when things don’t go to plan.

  • Ensure that trauma-informed practice and relationship-centred care remain a golden thread throughout all we do.

  • Be registered with Ofsted, leading the home to achieve Outstanding results in inspections, with support from your brilliant team.

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the children’s home within an agreed budget.

  • Develop and maintain strong, respectful relationships with children, staff, and partner organisations.

What we offer

Some of the benefits you’ll receive are…

  • Plenty of holidays, which increase with length of service.

  • Commitment to your learning and development – great training, supervision and access to therapeutic coaching.

  • A good workplace pension and sick pay cover.

  • Future development opportunities as Juno grows across the Liverpool City Region.

What you’ll bring

Role requirements include…

  • A Level 5 Diploma in Children’s Residential Care (or equivalent).

  • Two years’ experience of working as a Registered Manager (or in a supervisory position) in a children’s home with a Good or Outstanding Ofsted rating.

  • A full, clean driving licence.

  • Experience of leading homes supporting children with EBD and/or LD or neurodiverse needs.

  • Experience leading teams that achieve brilliant outcomes for children and young people.

  • A commitment to Juno's values.

We are evaluating applicants as they come and will offer interviews on a rolling basis.

To apply:

Please send your CV and a written or video response to the following questions to joinus@wearejuno.org

  1. Tell us about your personal values. What is most important to you in terms of how you live your life and how you treat others?

  2. From your perspective, leading children’s residential homes, what 3 things do you think make the biggest contribution to children’s outcomes?

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a short online meeting so that we can get to know each other.

Successful applicants will then be asked to attend a Safer Recruitment and Skills interview that includes our Experts by Experience.
