Do you have experience as a Registered Manager?


We are Juno CIC are on the lookout for an experienced Registered Manager for our upcoming 5th children's home to open in Halton in summer 2027.


The Role

Places of work: Runcorn, Halton

Remuneration: Registered Manager: £48,000 - £57,000 p/a (depending on experience)



About this role (a taste of the things you’ll be doing):


  • You’ll be making sure every child in our care has the best possible experience: that they experience love, joy and safety, and are encouraged to lead their best lives.

  • Leading and growing the home team in our new 3-bed EBD home.

  • Managing the day-to-day operation of the children's home.

  • Taking a lead in developing care plans and working with each child to achieve positive outcomes.

  • Ensuring that trauma-informed practice and relationship-centred care remain a golden thread through all that we do (whilst of course meeting current care legislation).

  • Always safeguarding children's emotional and physical well being.

  • Managing processes and procedures in the home.

  • Maintaining accurate strengths-based records.

Who are we looking for?

We are most interested in who you are as a person. We are looking for people who personify our values - people who are loving, compassionate, clever and creative.



Requirements for the role include:


  • At least 2 years experience as a Registered Manager (or Deputy Manager) in a Children's home with Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for/ Residential care (or working towards)

  • Experience building and leading teams

  • Calm, reflective and committed to ongoing learning (and un learning!)

  • Able to work flexibly and partake in on-call duty

  • Commitment to our vision and values

  • Understanding of how to keep children safe, and the risks and issues facing children in care and their families

  • Knowledge of children’s rights and therapeutic approaches, including trauma-informed practice

  • Experience of leading homes supporting children with EBD and/or mental health or neurodiverse needs


The admin bits:

·        Full driving licence 

·        Willingness to obtain Enhanced DBS clearance
