Ever wanted to get to know the Juno team a bit better? Well, you’re in the right place.

Each month, we’ll be spending 5 minutes with a different member of Juno’s Expert by Experience Team. We’ll ask them everything from their most memorable day at Juno, to their favourite thing about the work they do, to what they wish others knew about working within lived experience world.

I’m honoured to start with the fabulous Millie Foster. Having joined Juno's Experts by Experience earlier this year. Millie has brought energy, optimism and an artistic flair to the team!

Hi Millie! First things first, what was life like before Juno, and what excited you most about joining the team?

Life before was kind of boring, I was used to being on the run. If I kept my schedule busy enough I felt less lonely.

What does a typical day at work look like for you?

A day with Juno id full of fun, laughter and support. I feel like it has helped to build my confidence as well as making friends and maturing.

Is there a particular day/piece of work that sticks with you throughout your time at Juno?

The sugar donuts! Just kidding, I think the whole environment of openness and acceptance is something that sticks with me.

What’s your favourite thing about your role?

I get to hear other peoples stories. I really enjoy getting to learn about other experiences and how so much can be similar and connect us and so much can be different. It feels really important to hear people so that we don’t keep making the same mistakes.

What’s a part of our role that can be challenging?

Staying focused can be a challenge. With so many ideas and hopes it can be hard to focus on just one thing.

We know how important it is to involve people with lived experience. What’s one thing that you wish others knew about your role/the expert by experience group?

Although there’s bumps there’s always someone there to help.

Now for some rapid-fire questions. What 3 words would you use to describe yourself?

Chatty – Energetic – Artistic

And what 3 words would you use to describe Juno?

Supportive – Unique – Fun

What’s something unique that you bring to your team?

I’m artistic, I have a unique perspective, I’m the youngest so I bring that youthful energy!

What’s something you’re working on learning?

I really love drawing and painting and would one day like to be a tattoo artist. So I’m learning what I need to do to get an apprenticeship.

Okay, last one. What’s something you’re proud of?

My cooking talents!

Come join us!
