We're looking for people just like you to gain qualifications and work in our Residential Care team as Social Care Practitioners.
Place of work: Wirral, Merseyside
Salary: £22,500 - £24,500
Job terms: Full time, permanent (4 x 9h shifts, split between early, late, and waking night)

As Juno's Social Care Practitioner, you will provide day-to-day care for children and young people living with us. You will quickly establish trusting relationships and support people in our care with their education, shared activities and their overall wellbeing.
We will provide all necessary training and plenty of support, so you feel confident in the role. If you demonstrate an aptitude for the work, this could be your career – we’ll fund you to get a Diploma and then a Foundation Degree.
Your responsibilities will include:
Working effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure consistent quality of care
Organising, participating in and planning shared activities and interests with children to nurture their wellbeing, learning and growth
Working flexibly to meet changing demands and be willing to take on new tasks and responsibilities to ensure the safe day-to-day running of the home
Taking responsibility for ensuring the health and safety of children, the workforce and visitors to the home by maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment

Who are we looking for?

We need individuals who can build supportive relationships with children (mainly teenagers) and will be good advocates and role models for them.
Requirements for the role include:
Voluntary or paid experience in supporting children
An understanding of how to keep children safe and protect them from abuse, neglect, exploitation or other types of harm
Literacy and numeracy skills to be able to maintain accurate records, manage petty cash, write reports and achieve qualifications
Willingness to obtain Enhanced DBS clearance
